Weather wise, the summer in Ireland may have been a wash out, but it’s not over yet. If your summer hasn’t been hot enough, I’ve just heard that Magic Mike – the story of a male stripper – is opening here on July 11th, the same day that Angels Demons and Doms is being released.
Starring the seriously hunky Channing Tatum as exotic dancer Mike Lane, the film promises to put the heat back into your summer. Magic Mike is partially based on Tatum’s experience as a nineteen year old exotic dancer in Florida. The mega success of EL James’ trilogy is proof that women’s libidos are suddenly hot news in Hollywood too.
Fifty Shades of Grey is proof that erotica has moved from the top shelf of the bookstore to the Kindle and women aren’t shy about asking for more. The growth in sales of erotica aimed at women has been phenomenal over the past decade. In a recent interview on Bloomberg TV, Ellora’s Cave Chief Executive, Patty Marks recounted that sales have grown from forty books per month twelve years ago to an astounding 190,000 thousand books per month in 2011.
And that’s good news for Ellora’s Cave writers. Angels Demons and Doms is part of their ‘Pricked’ theme series of books which are being released throughout the month of July. If tattoos are your thing, the series features books from 14 hot writers.
And if you can’t wait ‘til then, here’s a Youtube sneak peak at the cover pages of the books.
